Thank you for the information included in the letter dated May 31, 2004, concerning the Transnational Radical Party (TRP). The United States Delegation is aware of the important work that your organization conducts, and the numerous contributions that it has made to the work of ECOSOC. We share your concerns regarding the position taken by Vietnam towards your organization; as we have indicated during the recently concluded session of the UN’s NGO Committee, the United States will continue to support retention of UN Consultative status for TRP.
